Subject: abdalian BLOCKING CPP OR JUNK MAIL STEPS!

Salams Bhayon,

I’m not sure why we have made such a big deal out of a

single junk (for some of us) email. I think most of

abdalians have raised excellent points to convince

Jameel bhai to help block these emails but the outcome

seems obvious. The good news is that the issue is not

as complex as running a company, government, landing

on moon or launching a satelliteJ. I would suggest

treating CPP emails as just another type of marketing

email IF YOU DON’T WANT TO RECEIVE THE EMAIL as

someone had earlier suggested. Since I know that a lot

of our bros. are not tech savvy, here are the steps

for the two most often used accounts, i.e. yahoo and

hotmail to block these emails. For new members who

will join later, just point to this email and if the

marketing technique changes, change the filters

accordingly by following the steps below.

YAHOO (We are lucky to have body filter in yahoo):

1) Login to email account

2) Click on ‘Options’ on extreme right at the top

3) Under ‘Mail options’, under ‘Management’, click on

‘Filters’

4) Click on ‘Add’ button next to ‘Edit’ and ‘Delete’

5) Put filter name as CPP1

6) Choose Body: Choose ‘Contains’ in the first drop

down and in the text box, paste ‘Communist Party of

Pakistan’. Don’t check ‘Match case’ check box.

7) Then choose, move message to ‘Trash’ in the drop

down.

8) Then click on ‘Add Filter’ button at the bottom.

9) To block other words like ‘CPP’,

aitnet04@... and so on, start from step

4 again by having a new filter name. If you don’t like

communism, put ‘Communist’, ‘Communism’ and ‘Marxism’

etc. as filter keywords.

10) IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT

HOTMAIL (A little unlucky as body is not included as a

filter):

1) Login to email account

2) Click on ‘Options’ on extreme right at the top left

to ‘Help’

3) Click on fourth link ‘Custom Filters’

4) Click on ‘Advanced Filter’ on the right at the top

of the new page

5) In Step 1: Filter criteria, choose ‘From Addr’ in

the first drop down, ‘contains’ in the second drop

down and paste ‘aitnet04@...’ in the

third text box.

6) In deliver these messages to: choose ‘Junk E-Mail’

radio option.

7) Click ‘Ok’ button at the bottom

8) To create a new filter, start from step 5 again. It

would be helpful if you create ‘From Name’ contains

‘CPP’ or ‘Communist’ filters as well. I would suggest

to create an many you want but then check your junk

mail for next week and then if some good email became

junk, just choose it and then select ‘Not Junk’.

9) IT’S AS SIMPLE AS THAT

I think it should put the CPP junk emails issue to

rest.

Moderation is still a good issue to be discussed and I

agree with the notes posted earlier that Jameel bhai’s

help would be needed and appreciated in it even if

he’s not moderating the group since long. Abdalian

Association does not mean anything to me or anybody in

this context. It is a bunch of individuals having

unique responsibilities. I or we need to know who has

‘Admin rights’ on this particular ‘Abdalian

yahoogroup’ in AA. There should be one or more persons

who will have admin power over ‘abdalian yahoogroup’

if indeed it was transferred. HE NEEDS TO BE

IDENTIFIED AND MADE RESPONSIBLE. IF HE DOES NOT WANT

TO HAVE THOSE DUTIES, THAT’S ALSO FINE. JUST TRANSFER

THE ADMIN RIGHT TO THE PEOPLE WHO CAN AND WANT TO DO

IT. But every abdalian has a full right to know who

that person is just like the way every organization’s

office holder’s names and responsibilities are

published. I again want to stress the fact that it is

also not a big issue. Let’s deal with it step by step

and keep calm and be respectful. I think we need the

following 3 steps:

1) Find out who the owner is. (if Jameel bhai already

transferred it to AA, then who specifically is

moderating it now. I won’t be surprised if nobody is

now moderating it currently. We definitely need Jameel

bhai’s help though we all know that he has a busy

schedule to keep.

2) If the owner is accepted by the majority and can do

his duties as a moderator, GOOD otherwise we need to

request someone who can and has time. I know I can’t

these days as I’m extremely busy and I’m sure most of

us will be in the same boatJ. But there are many who

want to do it and have the experience or want to gain

some experience. (Debate and voting would be handy

here unlike other voting which don’t have a bearing on

the actual outcome)

3) Debate moderation rules and get them incorporated

by the ‘Representative Owner’ not ‘Owner Owner’. I am

not in favor of too much moderation as it blocks

healthy debate.

For step 1), I have already cc’d to

abdalian-owner@yahoogroups.com. On the second email,

I’ve just sent to abdalian-owner@yahoogroups.com to

make sure that he is the only one receiving it and he

didn’t get it through abdalian@yahoogroups.com. He

would definitely get email and it’s his responsibility

to reply. I think Jameel bhai will also be getting the

email through abdalian-owner@yahoogroups.com. If he

does and nobody else comes out announcing that he is

moderating the group these days or using his admin

rights, we can assume ‘Jameel bhai’ as the owner. We

can then move on to step 2 and then 3.

I don’t know my mail will be delivered to the group (abdalian@yahoogroups.com) or not but if not even then at least some one can see his face in the mirror and in his conscious while he is alone. I wanted to copy this mail to Engr Jameel at his personal address but don’t have his address.

I “HAD” great respect for Eng. Jameel but he lost all due to his acts. He turned a deaf ear to request form abdalians to turn off CPP mails and instead keep on playing the HOBA decision game. (HOBA decided for non moderation etc) BTW that decision was taken 6 years ago and it can be changed.

Initially I thought Eng Jameel wanted to stop non abdalians mails and has agreed with abdalians request but just by mistake he switched on moderation of messages, may be he only wanted to moderate membership. But later I realized that not only he has transferred the moderation rights to some one, but the next person is also his true copy. The person is not disclosing his identity and playing teasers. What the hell he want to get out of this only Engr Jameel and his buddy can tell. Why Engr Jameel who claim to be the torch bearer of independence, transparency and truth, transferred the rights of moderation to some one in the middle of night and without announcing it.

Abdalians on this group always asked for membership to be restricted to abdalians only and that’s why we all requested Mre Jameel to post messages from his own email id not form CPP but now even messages are being moderated, changed and deleted. Who asked for this Engr Jameel sir can you give me any names? Then sir you acted in a childish manner by sending mails with subject like “Mr bilal is hacker” etc. Sir with all due respect I think due to your CPP disaster and no success in courts you have lost your decency and have become a SADIST. You are no more a respectable and honest person for me, although you are much senior and older than me and I respect your elderliness and seniority but as a person you lost all.

I request you to please come forward, clean your name and reply to all the queries and DO NOT divert them.

Why you gave moderation rights to some one without informing the group?

Why you are not replying to questions and playing politics like a politician and when ever is asked you divert the focus?

Who is the new moderator?

Are you going to live for ever? If yes its OK if no what will happen to the group ownership and moderation? Please be reasonable and human.

Why are you so determined to break this group and tease us all?

I believe in consolidation and unity and that’s why I have still not joined the other group abdaliansall just to give Eng Jameel and all of us more time and a chance to correct our wrong doings.

I request you to please change the moderation of messages to un moderated, keep the membership only for abdalians and share ownership and moderation rights with people whom majority on this group know personally by name and physical location not by some GHOST images. Open members information settings to all so that we can see each other’s emails if we need and can also view who all are owners and moderators.

Thanks for clarification Jameel Sahib, Only God knows what is inside . I personally respect your word and accept this as true, trusting your tongue. We have just made a new group as that still unknown moderator made the group policies so strict and uneven. The day the MEMBERS ARCHIVE is available to Abdalians and it is clear that who the moderator of Abdalian is, we shall return to our mother group. We greatly respect you Jameel Sahib.

Still personally I favour dual membership of abdalian and abdaliansall.

Folks...it's very strange and weird what going on. Who so ever is moderator, why is he sending us to other group sites to know about his details? Why can he simply mention a few lines in there.

I personally have less trust left in this group...as I dont know who the owner is, what messages are edited, who blocked, etc.

Here are some simple steps to validate my claim:

Go to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/abdalian/

use your yahoo id login, as it would be required.

You will see the following page (this is an actual screen shot):

Press the “settings” tab on the lower left corner (as I have already displayed in the screen shot above). You can read the group policies and it says membership requires approval and so does messages.

You can also observe that you cant access ANY old emails although they were available earlier.

BTW, if you all receive this message through the group post, it means the Hijacker is kind enough to let this email pass through Note:- NO ONE HAS HIJACKED THIS GROUP. NOW U R IN SAFE HAND AND U WILL NOT GET NON-ABDALIANS EMAILS ANY MORE. PL TELL ME WHO ARE NON-ABDALIANS AND HE OR SHE WILL BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY. REST ASSURE. J.

This also means that you may never know which email is/was blocked. There is only ONE thing we can/must do, either get hold of the mystery moderator and get control of the group admin or make a new one afresh.

personally i did not have a problem with the message by Mr. Jameel or the

cpp but there was a wider majority decision to keep abdalian group exactly

that, abdalian only. this issue should stand resolved i.e. moderated

abdalian group and we can all discuss topics of mutual interest, including

hopefully cpp if we want to.

Now that the membership has reached around 60, we can have a healthy

discussion on policies. IÂ’ve come up with a very rough draft of policies

for this group which we can probably publish on the description page and any

moderator can send a standard reply when taking an action like banning

someone or reminding members about policies. Please comment, remembering

that this is just a first shot and needs a lot of input and criticism from

Vision

To have a single abdalian web group providing a platform where they can

Policies

1) Membership

Only abdalians can join this group.

Group membership is not moderated but the moderators have the right to

2) Moderation

There will always be at least two but no more than three moderators for

this group.

Moderators will not try to impose their own views on the group by

unfairly using their admin rights

Moderators will be decided with a majority vote whenever there is a need

Any abdalian can volunteer for moderation, provided he has the necessary

experience and will to spend time.

Any abdalian can raise a valid objection on other members but

Moderators have the right to ask for a valid abdalian identification from

Moderators will publish the policies from time to time as a friendly

Moderators shall ban emails for any political, religious or marketing

to share with other abdalians but it is always a better idea to write your

own thoughts to complement it.

Never write in bold or UPPERCASE letters unless you want to stress an

important point. ALL UPPERCASE email is considered as shouting on someone.

Member shall never forward pornographic emails.

Never subscribe group email to political newsletters or other type of

marketing tools.

Moderators are also regular members and all email ethics rules apply to

them.

Reply to the same thread, without changing the subject, when discussing a

topic unless there is a special need to change the subject of the email.

4) Policy changes

Policy is considered final after considerable debate and majority vote

Existing policies can only be changed through a majority vote.

New policies can only be added through a majority vote as long as they

donÂ’t contradict with any existing policy.

All polls will be conducted through web only, not through email or other

channels.

Please do not divert the attention of the issue at hand by baseless counter allegations and conspiracy theories. Such conspiracy based position may sound impressive on Pakistani political front but they are indeed nothing short of immaturity elsewhere.

I still maintain my position and hold you responsible/accountable for:

a) Illegal, immoral takeover of our Abdalian group. You have failed to respond to multiple questiosn from different people on yahoo ID used for creation, its current access, etc which clearly indicates that you are deliberately witholding information.

b) Dictatorial actions of making/changing group policies.

c) Illegal editing of contents of various postings.

d) Failure to stop Firdaus from sending uncolicited emails to Abdalian group

e) Failure to stop your Media rep from sending unsolicited emails to personal email addresses directly. You are the chairman of a party and you are responsible/accoutnable for any and all actions by any office holder of your party.

f) Failing to explain the reasons for having the same IP address (not email address, as claimed by Firdaus) of your personal email as well as CPP media press (or whatever).......

Kamran Asghar Shaikh has himself included me as the member of

abdaliansAll@yahoogroups.com and so I received this email, the original

message of which, all of you can see under my this message.

In this email, Mr. Bilal Wahid said "I am trying to find a solution to hack

into his account to take the control back " so please remember, whenever,

the abdalian@yahoogroups.com stop functioning, take it guaranteed that it

was hacked by Mr. Bilal Wahid and none else.

I being members of abdalian@yahoogroups.com and abdaliansAll@yahoogroups.com

strongly condemns this ugly and immoral move and desire of Mr. Bilal Wahid

and I genuinely request my all fellow Abdalians irrespective of seniority to
